Waiting on Weather

Our planned departure was Thursday November 1st, the first day after the end of hurricane season on the Atlantic.  The weather forecast has changed our plans.  Here is the forecast in the area of our departure from the mouth of the Chesapeake Bay as of 0429 EST:

The Friday night forecast of 30-40 kt winds from the S/SW with 10-16 foot seas from the south look gnarly.

So current plan is to meet at Gallivant at Vinings Landing Marina in Norfolk on Friday to prepare for a Saturday departure!
